President Joe Biden sat down with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart over the weekend in his first interview since his State of the Union address. Biden discussed a wide variety of topics with Capehart and the interview wasn’t without some signature Biden gaffes.
During one exchange about Israel and its war on Hamas in Gaza, Biden said that America invaded Ukraine to kill Osama bin Laden.
“I sat with the war cabinet and I said look ‘don’t make the mistake America made.’ America made a mistake. We went after bin Laden until we got him. But we shouldn’t have gone into Ukraine. Excuse me, we shouldn’t have gone into, um, the whole thing in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
“It caused more problems than it raised…uh…that it cured.”
