2024 GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump will announce his pick for Vice President on day one of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Reports say the announcement could come as early as this afternoon.
From The New York Post:
A senior Trump adviser confirmed Monday morning that “if the president has given some indication about the ‘when,’ I’m in no position to deny it.”
Trump has long teased who his running mate will be and has yet to reveal who it is, or specifically comment on who is strongly in consideration. Sources close to the Trump campaign previously told The Post that Sen. JD Vance of Ohio and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum are his top contenders, as well as Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.
His announcement lines up with the first day of the Republican National Convention, and comes two days after a gunman shot Trump in the ear at a Pennsylvania rally, just missing his head.
