During a campaign event in Waterloo, Iowa on Tuesday, former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump promised to create a task force to fight anti-Christian bias.
“When I am back in the White House, never again will your government be used to target Christians and other religious believers. Upon taking office, I will create a new federal task force on fighting anti-Christian bias to be led by a fully reformed Department of Justice,” Trump old the cheering crowd.

Trump was likely responding to the DOJ’s so-called “anti-Catholic” memo.
From The Washington Examiner:
The memo, which the committee published in redacted form in August, served as a “threat assessment” of “radical-traditionalist Catholics.” It sought to establish a pattern of violent extremism among that group of Catholics and used an unnamed analyst’s definition to define them as those who opposed modern-day popes, held “extremist ideological beliefs,” and “engaged in violent rhetoric.”
