Trump: 'I Took a Bullet for Democracy,' 'Biden-Harris Didn't Protect Me'

Donald Trump hit TRUTH Social on Tuesday to criticize President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for not properly protecting him, leading to the failed assassination attempt earlier this month.

“The Biden/Harris Administration did not properly protect me, and I was forced to take a bullet for Democracy,” Trump said in the post. “IT WAS MY GREAT HONOR TO DO SO!”

Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle resigned on Tuesday for the colossal failure in Butler, PA.

“In light of recent events, it is with a heavy heart that I have made the difficult decision to step down as your Director,” wrote Cheatle, who had led the agency since September 2022.
