Is Mount Rushmore for America’s worst presidents, now?
During a sitdown interview with CBS News’ Leslie Stahl over the weekend, Nancy Pelosi suggested that President Joe Biden — yes, that Joe Biden — is a “Mount Rushmore kind of president.”
“So he was in a good place to make whatever decision, at the top of his game,” Pelosi said about Biden. “Such a consequential president of the United States, a Mount Rushmore kind of president of the United States,” she continued.
Even Leslie Stahl wasn’t buying it.
“Lincoln and Joe Biden?” Stahl asked.
“But you’ve got Teddy Roosevelt up there and he’s wonderful,” Pelosi said. “I don’t say take him down, but you can add Biden.”
Reports suggest Pelosi was instrumental in forcing Ol’ Mount Rushmore Joe off the 2024 ticket because he was terribly unpopular and his polling was in the basement.
