Columbia Professor Shai Davidai was denied entry onto campus on Monday due to the ongoing pro-Palestinian protests and the university’s inability to keep Davidai safe.
A clip of Davidai trying to enter the campus went viral after his keycard was declined.

Shortly after the clip went viral, Davidai compared the events to 1938, referencing the precursor to the Holocaust.
“Earlier today, @Columbia University refused to let me onto campus. Why? Because they cannot protect my safety as a Jewish professor. This is 1938.”
