Peach State Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene hit the House floor on Thursday to introduce a resolution to censure squad Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for recent “treasonous statements.”
“Greene signaled on the House floor that she intended to introduce her resolution as privileged, which would prompt leadership to act on it within two legislative days — likely early next week,” The Daily Wire reports.

“I would love to expel her; I think she should be deported, I honestly do,” Greene told reporters after she moved to force a vote on the censure measure.
“Any person that’s been elected to represent the United States government that admits in a speech in public that’s on video — it wasn’t changed, she’s lying when she says that — and she says that she’s representing the interest of a foreign government in her role as the United States representative, she should be expelled and deported,” she added.
“Unfortunately I don’t think we’d have the votes for that, so that’s why I introduced a censure resolution instead.”
A viral video of Rep. Omar speaking about Somalia was reportedly shared with misleading translations.
From The Daily Wire:
A professional translation obtained by The Daily Wire differed from the one put forward in the viral video, but confirmed the overall sentiment that [Omar] views promoting the needs of Somalia as a top priority for her congressional office. Omar clearly signaled that she is working in Congress to protect Somalia and make sure that “Somalia will never be in danger.”
