During a CBS 60 Minutes episode on Oct. 25, 2020, CBS News anchor Norah O’Donnell confronted then-Vice President nominee Kamala Harris with her very liberal voting record; “You’re considered the most liberal United States senator,” O’Donnell said.
“Somebody said that, and it was actually Mike Pence on the debate stage,” Harris said.
“Well, actually, the nonpartisan GovTrack has rated you as the most liberal senator,” O’Donnell shot back. “You supported the Green New Deal, you supported Medicare for all, you’ve supported legalizing marijuana,” O’Donnell added, noting, “Joe Biden doesn’t support those things.”
O’Donnell pressed Harris on whether she would bring a liberal agenda to the White House.
“What I will do — and I promise you this, and this is what Joe wants me to do, this was part of our deal — I will always share with him my lived experience as it relates to any issue that we confront,” Harris said. “And I promised Joe that I will give him that perspective and always be honest with him.”

As previously reported, GovTrack removed the page that reveals Harris as “the most liberal Senator” of 2019. GovTrack joins the likes of Axios, USA Today, TIME Magazine, and other media outlets and informational gatekeepers in rewriting Kamala Harris’ far-left voting record and policy positions.
