'She Isn't Prepared': Conservatives Clobber Kamala for Lying About DeSantis Call, 'Is She Crazy?!' [Watch]

Early Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris seemingly lied to the press when she said that Governor Ron DeSantis wouldn’t speak with her about Florida’s preparations as Hurricane Milton approaches.

“People are in desperate need of support right now, and playing political games at this moment, in these crisis situations — these are the height of emergency situations — it’s utterly irreconcilable, and it is selfish, and it is about political gamesmanship instead of doing the job that you took an oath to do, which is to put the people first,” Harris told reporters earlier Monday.

But Team DeSantis has twice denied reports that Kamala Harris tried to get in touch with the Sunshine State Gov. Harris is now facing blowback as it’s apparent she is the one playing “political games.”

CNN’s in-house Republican Scott Jennings blasted the Veep Monday night.

“She’s attacking the governor of a state that’s about to get lashed with one of the most historic hurricanes we’ve ever seen — is she crazy?” Jennings asked. “He did not ignore her call.”

Jennings continued: “In fact, according to what I read tonight, he spoke with the President of the United States and he has said time and again that he and the federal government are working well together on this.”

Biden confirmed Jennings’ account with a post on X, saying “Tonight, I spoke with Florida Governor DeSantis and Tampa Mayor Castor for firsthand reports on Hurricane Helene recovery and preparations for Hurricane Milton. My Administration is ready to support both leaders and the people of Florida with any further resources they may need.”

DeSantis aid Christina Pushaw said the incident only proves Kamala Harris isn’t prepared to be president.

“Governor DeSantis & President Biden spoke last night. There is a chain of command when it comes to disaster response, which Florida is very familiar with. VP Harris is not part of that chain of command; the President is. If Harris doesn’t understand that, she isn’t prepared.”
