Good news for Trump in a key battleground state…
According to a recent Atlanta Journal-Constitution poll, former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is up 8 points on President Joe Biden in Georgia —a critical battleground state.
From NEWSMAX:
Trump earns 45% support to Biden’s 37% in the crucial battleground state, AJC poll results released Tuesday revealed.
Georgian Bob Monett, 75, told the newspaper he would be the first to admit Trump is “rough around the edges,” but he worries Biden is viewed as weak on the world stage and the former president is “what we need to protect our interest.”
Biden won previously red Georgia and its 16 electoral vote by less than 12,000 votes en route to capturing the general election in 2020.
The AJC reported Biden is hurt by soft support among many Democrat and independent voters, including 10% of Black voters who say they do not plan to vote at all in this year’s race for the White House.
Those voters were crucial to his narrow 2020 victory in Georgia.
Biden’s problems in the state are compounded by his low job approval ratings.
The latest ABC News/Ipsos poll found Biden’s approval rating is 33%, the lowest since then-President George W. Bush in 2006-2008. Biden also has a 58% disapproval rating.
