Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas held a press conference Wednesday afternoon to spin and refute some of the terrible headlines Biden’s failed border policies have been getting.
Mayorkas says Biden’s policies are “tough” and they are working, despite multiple reports to the contrary.
“We screen and vet individuals when we encounter them. If we learn of derogatory information subsequently later in the process, then we take enforcement action accordingly,” he said.
“The individual who is responsible for a heinous criminal act is the criminal.”
Mayorkas also directly refuted the NBC News report about 400 illegal migrants in the U.S. thanks to an ISIS-tied smuggling ring.
