Athens Mayor Kelly Girtz was shouted down by an angry crowd of protestors during a press conference on Wednesday. Girtz was trying to defend Athens, claiming it was not a sanctuary city.
Girtz is on the defense in the wake of the murder of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley who was brutally beaten by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela while jogging.
“RESIGN! RESIGN NOW!” one protestor is heard yelling.
“YOU HAVE BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS, SIR!” another can be heard saying.
