Simpson Dead: NFL Running Back OJ Simpson Dies at 76

Former NFL running back OJ Simpson has died of cancer, his family confirmed on X. Simpson was 76 and battling prostate cancer.

“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer,” the post read. “He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

“During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”

Simpson played in the NFL for 11 seasons, mainly for the Buffalo Bills. He became one of the most infamous figures in the US during his murder trial in the ’90s.
