Kamala is running out of friendlies in the media…
The gig may be up for candidate Kamala Harris as it’s becoming more and more apparent that she doesn’t have answers to even the most basic policy questions. Harris, fresh off a softball MSNBC interview, is now being criticized by the New York Times.
The Times summarized Harris’ interview in an article titled 3 Takeaways From Kamala Harris’s Interview on MSNBC.
Here are some unflattering excerpts:
She largely avoided direct questions about how she would govern and why some voters remain fond of former President Donald J. Trump’s stewardship of the economy.
…
Ms. Harris responded to the fairly basic and predictable questions with roundabout responses that did not provide a substantive answer.
…
Ms. Harris skated past Ms. Ruhle’s question about where Democrats would find the money for such proposals without addressing her party’s Senate prospects.
…
Since Ms. Harris began granting more interviews in recent days, her media strategy has been to sit with friendly inquisitors who are not inclined to ask terribly thorny questions or press her when her responses are evasive.
Nothing about that changed during her interview with Ms. Ruhle before her audience on MSNBC, the liberal cable channel whose viewers overwhelmingly favor Democratic candidates.
Donald Trump called the interview “another humiliating failure.”
“Tonight, Kamala joined MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle (who has also endorsed her candidacy — a total coincidence, we’re sure) for her first solo primetime interview since she became the nominee in July,” Trump wrote in a statement posted to his website.
“It was (another) reminder why she never does interviews. She’s not competent enough — and she has no plans to offer Americans.”
