Former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump reacted on Wednesday to the historic Speaker shakeup on Capitol Hill and offered his thoughts on his name being thrown in to grab the gavel.
“A lot of people have been calling me about speaker. All I can say is we’ll do whatever is best for the country and the Republican Party,” Trump told reporters outside the Manhattan courtroom.

“My total focus is on being president,” Trump added, noting that there are other “great people” in the GOP who could handle the job.”
That’s not exactly a “no.”
