US President Joe Biden speaks about the death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, in the Roosevelt Room of the White House in Washington, DC, on February 16, 2024. Navalny died February 16 in the Arctic prison colony where he was serving a 19-year-term, Russia's federal penitentiary service said. Biden called Navalny a champion of truth. "Even in prison he was a powerful voice for the truth," Biden said in remarks from the White House, adding that "his courage will not be forgotten." House Oversight Chair James Comer confirmed his intention to request President Biden appear before the House Oversight Committee to answer questions in the ongoing Biden impeachment probe.

“What we have here is a major discrepancy on what role Joe Biden played. We know that three former Biden associates say that Joe Biden was actively involved,” Comer said.

“But we have Hunter Biden testifying under oath that his dad didn’t know,” he continued.

Comer added, “So in the coming days, I will invite President Biden to the Oversight Committee to provide his testimony and explain why his family received tens of millions of dollars from foreign companies with his assistance. We need to hear from the president himself.”
