The New York Post has endorsed former President Donald Trump in the 2024 race.
“Voters carry a heavy responsibility in this election — one of the most consequential in the history of this great nation,” the editorial board wrote in an op-ed Friday. “The choice will have reverberations for decades, deciding which of two very different paths for the future Americans will take.”
“Today, Trump exhibits the same strength and vigor as he did in 2016, despite the unprecedented and disgraceful weaponization of the justice system against him, two assassination attempts and the all-too-familiar constant barrage of hysterical media attacks on him,” the NYP continued.

While The New York Post closed out with “Donald Trump is the right choice,” The Washington Post, for the first time in decades, refused to back a candidate, leaving Democrats furious.
“The Washington Post will not be making an endorsement of a presidential candidate in this election. Nor in any future presidential election,” Post publisher Will Lewis said in a statement. “We are returning to our roots of not endorsing presidential candidates.”
“We recognize that this will be read in a range of ways, including as a tacit endorsement of one candidate, or as a condemnation of another, or as an abdication of responsibility. That is inevitable,” Lewis continued. “We don’t see it that way. We see it as consistent with the values The Post has always stood for and what we hope for in a leader: character and courage in service to the American ethic, veneration for the rule of law, and respect for human freedom in all its aspects.”
WaPos’s editorial page staffers had drafted an endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris and it was ready to be approved by its board, but the draft was never presented, a person with knowledge of the matter told CNN.
