Community Notes was having none of Biden’s inflation tweet…

President Biden shared a message on X this week blaming corporations for maintaining high prices as inflation has started to come down.

“Let me be clear to any corporation that hasn’t brought their prices back down even as inflation has come down: It’s time to stop the price gouging. Give American consumers a break.”

Members of X’s Community Notes quickly added context to the POTUS tweet, reminding Joe that prices are still very much on the rise.

“As long as the inflation rate is positive, prices are increasing. The fact that inflation has come down to 3.2% in October means that prices are still going up, albeit at a slower rate than before.”

Community Notes added four additional news articles for context; users rated the note “helpful.”
