A tale of two visits…
Both former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are visiting the southern border today to assess the ongoing humanitarian crisis — but that’s where the similarities of the visits end.
Trump is in Eagle Pass, Texas; ground zero for the illegal migrant invasion. Biden is in Brownsville for a photo opportunity; the 29th-most trafficked town by illegal border-crossers, according to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
According to Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who’s meeting with Trump, the Texas National Guard has “wired Brownsville shut.” It’s not likely Biden will see the crossing crisis in action.
A recent poll shows only 26% of Americans approve of Biden’s job at the border.
