The House has spoken…
Embattled New York Rep George Santos has been expelled from the House of Representatives. Santos was facing immense pressure from both sides of the aisle to resign amid numerous scandals.
Santos said on Thursday he would “not stand by quietly.”
“I will not stand by quietly,” Santos said during Thursday’s debate on the House floor. “The people of the Third District of New York sent me here. If they want me out, you’re going to have to go silence those people and go take the hard vote.”
More than two-thirds of the House of Representatives voted on Friday to expel Santos.
