Eric Adams announced Thursday that he is suing the bus companies bringing migrants to New York City from the southern border; “we cannot bear costs of reckless political ploys from the state of Texas,” Adams said in a video shared on X.
Adams says he has filed a lawsuit against 17 companies that have assisted Texas Governor Greg Abbott in transporting asylum seekers to NYC.
“Governor Abbott’s continued use of migrants as political pawns is not only chaotic and inhumane, it makes it clear he put politics over people.”
Adams and his administration hope to recoup some of the 700 million dollars spent on controlling the migrant crisis over the last two years.
