Connecticut Senator Richard Blumenthal told reporters on Thursday that what the Senate has uncovered in its investigation into the Secret Service’s failings around the Donald Trump assassination attempt will “shock” the American people.
Blumenthal made the remarks while talking to reporters after speaking with acting U.S. Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe behind closed doors.
“I think the American people are going to be shocked, astonished, and appalled by what we will report to them about the failures by the Secret Service in this assassination attempt on the former president,” Blumenthal said. “But I think they also ought to be appalled and astonished by the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to be more forthcoming, to be as candid and frank as it should be to them in terms of providing information.”

Senator Josh Hawley shared a little about what is coming out of the investigation during a recent Fox News appearance.
“The fact that the director will not level with the American people about what’s going here is just totally unacceptable and unbelievable,” Hawley declared.
