We’re back on indictment watch.

According to a report from Newsmax, prosecutors in Georgia are allegedly preparing to bring up former President Donald Trump on racketeering charges for contesting the 2020 election.

From Newsmax:

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis believes she has evidence to pursue the racketeering indictment based on laws related to influencing witnesses and computer trespass, the sources told The Guardian.

The racketeering statute in Georgia spells out that any attempts to solicit or coerce the qualifying crimes can be included as predicate acts of racketeering activity, even when those crimes cannot be indicted separately.

It is unclear what specific evidence Willis might have. But the influencing witnesses could possibly relate to Trump’s conversations with Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, in which he asked Raffensperger to “find” 11,780 votes, the sources said.

Willis might be expecting a grand jury to unseal August indictments resulting from her investigation of former President Donald Trump and his allies, The New York Times reported in May.

This could be a potential fourth indictment for the GOP 2024 frontrunner as special counsel Jack Smith has also alerted Trump he is a target of the Jan. 6 criminal investigation.

Trump blasted the DOJ on TRUTH Social earlier this week.

“So now, Joe Biden’s Attorney General, Merrick Garland, who I turned down for the United States Supreme Court (in retrospect, based on his corrupt and unethical actions, a very wise decision!), together with Joe Biden’s Department of Injustice, have effectively issued a third indictment and Arrest of Joe Biden’s NUMBER ONE POLITICAL OPPONENT, who is largely dominating him in the race for the Presidency,” Trump shared in a statement on TRUTH.
